I'll sum it up this way...If you're looking for an outfitter for a whitetail hunting trip...Choose Mark Cliffords Premier Outfitters in Western Kentucky...I took my two boys (13 and 10) this past weekend (late December 2014)...My oldest has taken several deer already in his short hunting life, and my youngest (10) was looking for his first deer...Our hunt was an unqualified success...My oldest tagged another good buck and I am very happy to say my youngest dropped a perfectly symmetrical 8 pointer for his first deer ever...Premier is a professional operation in every sense of the word...I made sure my boys new there are never any guarantees on any deer hunt and that I would do everything I could to give them the best possible chance...I believe it is very important to manage expectations and be prepared for anything...Well, Premier's farms, lodge, guides, and expertise delivered...My oldest son had his own guide, Erik, who took very good care of him...Erik made sure my son saw deer and see deer they did...Lots of deer...He was able to be selective in what he chose to take and walked away with another buck kill to his credit that would make any youngster proud (and most adults, too). I wish I had the time to tell you my younger sons experience in detail, but suffice it to say that our guide, Tad, put us in situations where we saw deer that ultimately resulted in a moment that my son and I will never forget...

The lodge was great and we ate well...The farms are beautiful and loaded with deer...We were not hunting in the primary rut, but even still we saw plenty of deer...Our guides were great, very friendly, great to my boys, and worked very hard to give us the best experience possible...They never made any promises and I did not want them to...I want my boys to understand that deer hunting holds many life lessons...Primarily that there are no guarantees and sometimes things don't go your way...If you get shut out you learn from it and move on to hunt another day...Like everyone else we have been shut out many times before, but fortunately on this occasion neither got shut out...

If you're looking for guarantees - good luck, but if you want a top shelf hunting experience with great people on great land with a real chance to take home a lifetime buck - I highly recommend Premier Outfitters...
