I booked my hunt a year in advance. Sent my deposit plus $1000 more towards balance. I was so exited!! This was to be my first guided hunt of any kind and the first for my wife as well. We were both super excited as this was our honeymoon trip. Lloyd and his wife were very helpful with our planning. I was sure I made the right choice. Well we drove all the way to the Canadian border only to be denied entry. This was a shock to say the least. My mistake was i didnt check Canadian laws pertaining to entry. I was denied because of two DUIs 22 years ago. I had no idea. My trip of a lifetime came to a dead stop. Lloyd tried but couldnt get me in. I understand a deposit is Non Refundable but I had sent an extra $1000. I spoke to Lloyd and he agreed to send the extra $1000 back to me. Its been six months and Im still waiting. he has cut off all contact with me. Ive sent countless emails asking BEGGING for my money. I work hard for my money Im not filthy rich and every penny counts. So my recommendation here is that if you want to book a hunt with Lloyd check your record and only send the deposit cause if you dont make it you wont get any extra money you sent back. Im willing to hear from them he hasy my number and my adress.

Outfitter's Response

In response to this Outfitter Report. First of all, Mr. Ball knew he needed a passport to enter Canada. He showed up at the Border crossing without any paperwork that would allow him entry into Canada. I tried for 2 hours with Canada Customs trying to resolve these issues and for him to gain entry to Canada. Mr. Ball's legal issues were never made know to us upon booking his hunt. We have not cut off contact with Mr. Ball. We have communicated to him, what steps he needs to take to gain entry into Canada in the future. We would be more than happy to honor Mr. Ball's hunt at any time in the future should he get his paperwork in order.
