Joe gives you all the information you need to go in an area you are unfamiliar with and have a great DIY hunt. His maps are marked with bedding, feeding, wallow areas, travel routes and his write-up sheets on the area describe everything in great detail. When I first scouted the area I could not believe the accuracy and fine detail of each area. The information you are given exceeds anything but an expert elk hunter and woodsman could offer. The plan I purchased was exactly what I was looking for at a very fair price. I injured a knee a couple weeks before my hunt and was told by Dr's not to go but I went anyway just to see the area during season, hear bulls and prepare for next year. I wasn't disappointed; I saw and heard elk right where Joe said I would. Had I actually been able to stay and hunt I feel confident I would have had an excellent chance of scoring. Just hearing and seeing elk for the 2 days I was there was great. With early snow and my bad knee, I was forced to wait for next year.

I'm as disappointed as you Jim that you hurt that knee and weren't able to hunt. But I'm glad you made the trip up to see that the plan I provided you was worth the one time investment. It's a great spot and suits your goals and abilities. Bugling bulls not far from the road with options to put some miles between you and the truck if you want.
