Wow what can I say. The outfitter was top notch. I've hunted with Whitetail Heaven Outfitters the past 7 years and have had the opportunity to see and harvest some of the best bucks I've ever seen. My hunt in 2012 was very exciting as the rifle season coincided great with the rut. On the 2nd day of the hunt I had a 170 inch, a 130 class 8 pt and the buck I ended up harvesting all chasing the same hot doe. I couldn't get a shot at the 170 inch buck but the 159 inch buck that I ended up harvesting was an older buck and he ended up running off the 170 inch buck. Let's just say it was the most exciting 30 minutes of hunting I've experienced to date. The outfitter even sent me the trail cam pic of the buck I shot. Amazingly the trail cam pic was taken in almost the exact spot I shot my buck.
I was hunting out of a ground blind that was brushed in very well and as the 9 pt 159 inch buck stepped into a well trimmed clearing, he never noticed the well positioned blind.
Cooking and accommodations were second to none but best of all I left again knowing that the guides and staff at whitetail heaven were more than just the outfitters staff they were friends.
Some of the best land and the quality of the bucks was impressive. Tevis McCauley and his guides know deer. You won't be disappointed.
