I do not recommend this outfitter

Website described meals provided--they were not. "Lodge" was a converted garage, filthy, and we left to stay in a motel for the duration of the hunt. Hunting property was 30 miles from the lodge. Nice property, but feeders were not in working order. Outfitter left town 2nd day, left us with his daughter and her boyfriend for help if needed. Saw one good animal, heard manu moore. Hunt was for Sika deer.

Was the outfitter notified of problems? - NO

Outfitter's Response
Disagree

Our business is a family owed and operated hunting lodge. We take pride in providing southern hospitality and the best possible hunt for all our clients. Yes the bunkhouse is a converted garage. It is a beautiful log cabin, complete with full kitchen, satellite tv and much more. I do not get her point about the bunkhouse being a converted garage. I was at the lodge the entire hunt. Not sure why she said I was not. The lodge was not filthy. The hunter took her friend with her to a motel because "There was nothing for her to do at our lodge." Our lodge is in a beautiful setting in the woods 1/2 mile from the nearest road. This was made very clear to the hunter before booking of the hunt. I called the hunter to see how she made out with the hunt and she never returned my call. The very first morning she said to me, she passed on a beautiful 3x3 sika stag at 12 yards. She apparently decided the shot wasn't completely broadside and didn't want to shoot. She left the lodge after the first night never to return, did not return my call or ever call the guide. It was made clear to her that she had to drive twenty minutes or so to the hunting property. It was also made very clear to her that no meals were provided to deer hunters. Only waterfowl hunters due to scheduling issues with deer hunters. We can do meals for deer hunters but at a higher daily fee of course, not the fee she paid. Seems very odd she would rate such a hunt poor. She saw and heard game and we did everything we said we would. I am very disappointed and feel attacked for no good reason by this client.
