I booked a bow hunt and asked the Outfitter several times before my booking what it will take for me to get within "Goat range" with Bow and he said 2 things: be fit and be "good" with a bow. Well I dropped 40lbs in 4 months worked out and shot my bow daily out to 90 yards. I mean this was my dream hunt and I was going to do my part. Three weeks before my hunt I emailed him again and asked what I can do "more" to increase my chances and how many "shot opportunities" I should expect over my 10 day hunt? 'Every day' he said. Well within the first two days I learned my Outfitter had NO experience with bow or bow hunters and my guide "Aussie" was great in getting me within rifle range on couple of goat, he himself said he was surprised to see me get off the float plain with a bow, he never knew that they even booked a bow hunter and he said if he had known he would not have guided me, having said that there was also nobody else that knew about me bow hunting except the owner Rick that booked me. I felt he drew me in with the 'right' words to spend my years of savings and crush a dream hunt .Well I only have myself to blame for trusting what people said, but I felt I did ask the "right' questions and still got a raw deal. I will not recommend this outfit to bow hunters, maybe rifle hunt could work.
