First ever elk hunt. Chose a two on one guided hunt with my buddy Mike. We were into a great bull within two hours of the hunt, but did not connect. Had some other close calls until snow blew in mid week and shut things down. Mike connected on a 300+ bull we both had an opportunity at on our last day when we were given the option to hunt our way back to the trailhead. Very tough week of hunting. Get in shape! Our guide Doug did a great job of getting us into animals. Looking forward to a return trip this year or next!!
