I went to NB to hunt black bear with Taz this spring (last week of May). While my expectations were high from all the good things I've heard from Taz we had some terrible weather that affected our hunt. The rain did not let down until the last day of the hunt, bait sites were washed out and movement was down. However Taz did absolutely everything he could to put us on the bears. We had one kill and one front shoulder shot in our group. I could have shot one my first day however held out as it was my first bear hunt and wasn't able to size them up. The fact that I was not successful is not indicative of Taz's efforts and abilities. In fact I could have shot multiple bears even though the bear movement was below anything Taz has ever seen. I will be back for sure and give Taz my highest recommendation.
