This was my 4th guided hunt for black bear. The prior ones were not with Lloyd. After being on a boatload of guided hunts-both successful and unsuccessful in taking all sorts of animals from gators to hogs to ducks, deer and antelope and now bear I know a good hunt when I get one. This is a good hunt. By the way I do not simply measure a good hunt by if I killed an animal. This is a small, personalized outfitter where everything is hands on. You can not go wrong if you use Lloyd Gates. He puts you on multiple bear and takes great care of the hide after its down. Really enjoyable hunt. His wife does the cooking and he does the guiding. Weather was a factor the first 2 days, it was windy and wet. After that it was perfect bear weather...clear, cool, calm
