I had a tag for mountain caribou and wolf on this hunt. Chris and Thor Schippmann have an outstanding operation in some remote and game filled area. Everything was excellent from the facilities, flights, horses, and staff. We saw a lot of caribou and some good moose. Ty was able to howl in two wolves to about 50 yards and I shot one. The next day Ty got me in range of a very good mountain caribou and I connected. The weather was everything from hot and sunny to snow and low visibility but as long as there was enough visibility to hunt the game was there. I would not hesitate to go on any hunt Liard River Adventures offers.
Jim was a pleasure to have in our camp. It was very nice of him to submit a hunt quality report. We know we can't control the weather but we have the capabities of ensuring quality staff, food, gear & horses. Thank you Jim for your report and we hope to see you in our neck of the woods when you're looking for another wilderness hunting adventure:)
Weather was everything from 65 degrees, calm and sunny to below freezing with fog, heavy wind, and blowing snow. The game was there and did not seem to be bothered by the weather.
