This was a semi-guided hunt. The guides/outfitter baited the sites several weeks in advance and maintained the baits. There were 15 guys in our camp and the outfitter had at least 80 sites baited at all times. There were 8 men in our cabin and all but one tagged a bear. Even the guy that did not get a bear had a chance...but he missed his shot. Of the 15 guys in camp, all but 2 did not take home a bear. I saw bears ranging from 200# to 600# come into camp that week. More importantly, the young men that guided us were men of integrity and their highest priority was to help us be successful. Saxson James, a 25 year old young man, was a top notch guide. He was available to bait, drag out game, skin, butcher, etc. and he did it all with a great attitude. It was obvious that he truly loved his "job" and has a passion for the sport. The cabins and meals were great. The guantity and quality of repeat guests at an outfitter tells you a lot about the outfitter. I met hunters that have been going to Pine Acres Camp for over 20 consecutive years and still coming back. Thank you Chris and Lottie for being great outfitters and hosts. You made me feel like I was a part of your family. I will be back in 2013!
