Hunter Comments
I recommend this outfitter

This hunt was an elk and moose combo hunt. After meeting Mike at a local sporting goods store to get our licenses it was off to the lodge. Mike's lodge is located in the basement of his home and is quite comfortable. He has three bedrooms to hold six hunters, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining and tv room. Outside he has an archery range marked to 70 yds and you can shoot broadheads as well as field points. During the hunt I saw 18 moose 4 of which were bulls. I went to full draw on 2 of the bulls but as can happen they moved and I did not get a shot off. The bull moose ranged in size from 30 inches to one that would have pushed 50 inches. Now for the elk. I had 2 shot oppurtunities on elk. The first shot oppurtunity was on a 290 to 300 class bull and I shot under it at 60 yds. The second shot oppurtunity was on a 250 class bull on the last full day of the hunt. This bull was at 48 yds and I hit the bull quartering away but we lost the blood trail. My buddy hunting with me also shot a 250 class bull 25 minutes after I hit the bull on the last day. We had a total of 4 hunters in camp 2 elk killed 2 elk wounded no moose shot at but there were a few moose passed on. The weather was a hinderance as the wind was blowing between 25 and 50 MPH for most of the hunt, however the guides still got us on animals. I had an excellent hunt and would recommend this outfitter, and am personally planning on doing this hunt again in the near future.
