I can't say enough about Lloyd and his operation. He really knows bears. All bait sites were very active. We had a lot of wind and it slowed down the bear activity but having ground blinds set up in addition to stands at the site helped greatly and added a new rush to the hunt. There were many bears much larger than the one I took on the trail cams each day but I left with what I came for. A respectable sized bear a really nice hide that was large enough to be worthy of a rug or 1/2 body mount. Expectations exceeded! Rebooking for next year should say it all.
Hunting with Ray was a great experience, his broadheads are second to none in the industry. I'm now using them, they are tough and easy to sharpen. Ray had a real exciting hunt in a ground blind, shot a real nice boar with the biggest broadhead I've ever seen. See you in 2013. Congratulations Ray.
Very windy and cooler than normal temps made bear activity a little slower than normal which could be verified through a history trail cam pics at each site.
