Very good western cat hunt. Terrain was tough, not for an out of shape hunter. Best lion guide and dogs I have ever hunted with, been on three other lion hunts. We found several tracks before settling on a large tom track. Snow conditions were bad, lots of mud. Dogs took track straight to lion and ledged it up 3 hrs later. After a tough hike got to the lion, upon seeing us it jumped and ran down the canyon and treed in a big pine. I made a tough shot and the lion jumped and ran a few hundred yards before expiring. Good outfitter, good equipment, good dogs.
