I took a group of 3 hunters (including myself) out to hunt with Wes on the Eastern Plains of Colorado. Although I didn't end up killing a deer I did have 2 very good encounters, the 2nd of which should have been a slam dunk but ended up with a shot that was high. Wes did everything he possibly could on the hunt to get me where I needed to be on the calibur of buck that I was expecting. Although the unit we were hunting was hit with a late drought and there weren't as many giant mule deer as we'd hoped to see, there were still big ones around and Wes didn't stop until we found what I wanted. We should have been 3 for 3 on this hunt but since myself and one of the other hunters didn't make the shots we should have, we ended up going home with 1 deer out of the 3 hunters. I wouldn't hesitate to sign up for any hunt with Wes, he'll tell you want to expect and then him and his guides will make it happen.

Weather was good - mainly clear and calm, we could have used a little bit more wind on a few days and one day was super windy. In the end the weather didn't make or break the hunt, we had our chances.
