I recommend this outfitter

The guide I had this time was no where as good as the one I had my first trip. The first day I was paired with a rifle hunter and he wanted us to sit in the same blind. We finally spoke to the head guide and got things straightened out. The animals were few and far between. I only say 14 caribou this trip, but managed to take 2 with the longbow, one at 10 and one at 12 yards. The problems on this trip were NOT the fault of JHA, except for a less than stellar guide. Caribou are caribou and they just weren't there in the numbers I had seen before. But still it was a good hunt. The company in camp was the best. If you go to the "Main Camp" like I did both times, request Barry, the head guide, for your guide. Whatever Richard is paying him, it is not enough for the serviced he provides those he cares for.

Outfitter's Response
Agree

I think matters will be cleared up with the guide for your next trip Bob. Barry has been with us for over 20 years, so he is a little better educated on how to treat bow hunters than some of our other guides that haven't been with us as long. I certainly agree that you shouldn't have been put in the same spot as the rifle hunter and I will certainly make sure that it doesn't happen to anyone else hunting with us. Richard
