Overall I HIGHLY recommend this outfitter. Cody and Family were down to earth great people to be around. They made me and the other clients feel right at home! Cody's wife is an excellent cook and all meals were actually TOO MUCH!

This is usually one of the easier hunts, though we had some real tough weather the first few days with rain, snow, wind and unseasonably cool temps.

I was also attemting to harvest a black bear using a bow with spot and stalk which created an even greater challenge.

Cody and my guide Sean pushed me extremely hard in an attempt to give me every opportunity available under the stated conditions. After the 3rd of a 5 day hunt I changed to rifle hunting in order to increase my chances of harvesting a bear.

The weather finally began to cooperate with us as well. This was one TOUGH hunt, as I averaged 10-15 miles a day at altitudes I was not used to.

One the 3rd evening we spotted a bear while glassing a ridge about 2+ miles away. With time working against us we reached to trailhead, dumped everything non-essentail, and proceeded to double-time it up this mountainside for 45min. in order to reach our desired location to set up on this bear. ** I have never hunted this hard in my life, but after working and pushing myself past my physical limit w/ the help of my guide it paid off when harvesting this bear**

We set up on this bear across a reveen and waited for the prefect shot opportunity, which took almost 1 hour because the bear changing directions and stopping behind cover.

Finally at around 8:30pm MT @ 466 yards I sealed the deal on a chocolate-brown color phase black bear. using a 7MM RUM.

Thanks to Cody and Sean for making this trip more than I could have expected. This hunt was a real challenge and made me feel like I truly earned this bear.
