Steven Ward knows Coues deer and showed my cameraman and I several bucks over 100 inches and we saw lots of bucks in the 80s and 90s. His patience in glassing was impressive and all logistics were efficiently handled. Mother Nature hurt us by dropping 17" of rain over the summer and the grass was waist deep which made relocating bucks and getting shots difficult. It also rained every day and neither I nor Steven were able to control the weather. It was my first Coues deer hunt and I am now addicted. They are a formidable adversary and I will take them on again. Good hunt and Steven Ward is a trustworthy outfitter.

A wet summer had the desert looking like a green jungle. We could spot bucks from opposite hillsides but once on their level only their heads emerged from the grass, even when standing.
