So this is year three at BearTrack Outfitters. I took this nice 7'0" bear on the second night of the hunt. It would have been a great bear but the night before my son and fiancee both took 7'2" bears and my father took a monster 7'6". What an amazing two nights....4 bear 7 feet or bigger! Another week of great meal and pampering by Jeannine. Ron did another excellent job of keeping us on the hot baits. It sure shows that Ron starts baiting 4 weeks before hunting starts!!!! Tons of bait (literally) are brought to camp and the bear are very well fed. Other outfitters make many excuses for baiting only days before the hunt or using a very tiny amount of bait. Ron doesn't have to make excuses...... he busts his butt hauling bait to make sure of a top quality hunt!!!!! Ron and Jeannine have a super thing going!!!!!!
Randel's patience and enthusiasm through-out each and every hunt with us is infectious. He knows I'll put him and the rest of the members of his group on a good bear sooner rather than later and sits back and takes it all in the whole trip. Randel also likes to book the hardest week of the year to hunt which makes me bring my "A" game. Randel is booked to hunt with us on "his" week from now till he says "let's do something different this year".
