While not as highly preferred by whitetails as peas, soybeans and clover. It is still highly preferred and does well in poor soils of low PH and fertility. Birdsfoot Trefoil can grow up th 30" tall. Flowers are bright yellow with a shape that resembles a Birdsfoot. Hence the name. It has slow growth characteristics and can be overtaken by weeds so careful soil prep is required. Once established it is a strong perennial. It is one of the more expensive plot varieties to plant. |
