I have several food plots. I plant brassica in some and clover oats/winter rye pea in other....its the LC mix from years ago. These plots grow great then in the spring there is nothing but Blue Grass that over takes the plots. Any suggests how to deal with it in 10 acres of plots. Thanks TH

The answer is to avoid planting mixes of perennials like clover, together in the same plot with annuals like rye. All those crops you mention, except clover, are fall annuals, normally planted for the purpose of providing fall & winter food. So you kill everything in the plot with non-selective herbicide in spring and summer, then plant your brassica, oats, rye, peas, or etc in the late summer to early fall. Doesn't matter what happens with weeds or grass the next spring, since you'll be starting from scratch again by burning it all down with a non-selective herbicide like Round-up, in preparation for a new fall planting of annuals.

As far as controlling grass in your perennial clover plots, you can use clethodim or another selective grass killer.

Sticksender, is there any way to get rid of the Blue Grass....id like to have a clover plot that grows for a few years instead of re planting every spring or fall. Thanks TH
