I tried to enter a guess and it said higher than the acceptable range. Do you need to set the acceptable range?

132 but dont really care cuz I love nice 8pts and I generally suck at scoring due to my lack of care. I just divide em into 2 categories: Big n Small.

He looks like a tremendous buck. I'd field judge him as a 5 1/2 year old and between 145-150.

I figured 132. I figure I am way off though, with all of the other, much higher estimates. I figured 22 inch main beams, 7 inch G1's 7 inch G2's, 5 inch G3's, then added a couple inches for the stickers. Then for the circumferences, about 5, 5, 4, and 3. I deducted about 5 inches for the weaker side due to not having sticker points, and having a shorter G1 and G2. Then I figured 20 inches inside. And voila, 132, though it seems a bit weak even to myself and definitely in comparison to several others.
I think it is tough to judge a pic, especially when you aren't familiar with sizes of various things. Definitely a nice deer though. If he had longer tines, he would be a super nice deer.
Are you going to be able to give an accurate score?

I will give you all a clue, this buck is over 25" inside! Better all re-calculate
By:
dmandoes
Date:08-Feb-15
|
176 gross, 46"mass, 25"inside spread, 52" beams, 53" points
By:
ToddT
Date:08-Feb-15

Just knowing 25 inches inside, helps a lot, like I said, it is tough to know just from a picture, unless you have something solid to go with.

Now I figured 44 mass, 25 inside, 52 beams and 44 points, so that would be 165.
It would be nice to see a trophy shot, that would most likely tell a better story.

Main beans larger than 27 inches are huge and mass measurements over 40 inches are very rare indeed! Excellent brows! Looking forward to seeing the "Official" P&Y score sheet on this big 8!

yeah, 25 inside does add considerably to my score, I was thinking you are showing a big rack on a very small body to trick us :)

With new inside measurement and some perspective I go to 167 which would be one huge 8 point!

Gross is 183, buck is at taxidermist and should be final measured sometime this month. Measurer says net is right at 172 after deducts and drying time. Main beams are right at 26". Buck was killed mid December.

I wouldn't have guessed that but I can buy it. I shot a nine point a few years back that I guessed in the 150's. He was very similar and scored 171.
