The APO-HG binoculars deliver maximum performance in every discipline. Just a single turn of the focusing knob enables a very fast precision adjustment from close-focus to infinity, with a very sharp image.

I own a pair of Swarovski 10x42 ELs along with Leica compact binoculars. My first reaction after receiving my pair of Minox APO HG 8x43's was Holy Crap! These things were every bit as clear and sharp as my Swarovski glasses yet quite a bit lighter. I noticed a slightly better light gathering characteristic over my ELs as well. The same precision German manufacturing process is evident in these binoculars. Minox is not a well known brand in the US, but it is very well known in Europe as being in that top tier with the other European brands.
